Savannah Wisdom is an independent charitable foundation. Our projects are based around building stronger communities, reducing social inequality and creating a fairer society. We also work to reduce gender violence and health inequalities.

The foundation does this by partnering with a number of charities and not for profit organisations with innovative and radical ideas that try to disrupt the traditional model for delivering change. The foundation acts as a charity incubator to support these ideas.

Savannah Wisdom’s CEO Shalni Arora, is a trustee and vice chair of British Asian Trust and a trustee at Altrincham Football Community Club. She is a founder and co-chair of Belong- the cohesion and integration network. She is also a Non Executive Director at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Foundation Trust where she chairs the Innovation Committee. Shalni is a member of  the Council of  the Institute of Fiscal Studies.

She has been awarded a Medal of  Honour for services to the City of Manchester and is a Beacon Philanthropy Award winner.

Until recently she was on the board of Transparency International UK where she piloted then steered a global programme tackling corruption in the delivery of healthcare.

She managed the B & M Community Fund awarding grants and building key partnerships between the company and charity sector.

She is an accountant and a biotech entrepreneur.
