British Asian Trust Dinner 2017

The British Asian Trust hosted its 2017 Dinner on Thursday 2nd February at the Guildhall in London. The night proved to be extremely successfully with notable guests turning out to support the charity and the work in South Asia. The Founder and President HRH The Prince of Wale and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall attended the event alongside several of the Trust’s trustees and ambassadors. The recent funding of donations to British Asian Trust’s “Give a Girl a Future” appeal has already assisted 50,000 women and girls in Pakistan to get important skills they require to secure steady jobs. The Charity has impacted the lives of over 3 million people through its programmes in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which include livelihoods, education and anti-trafficking initiatives.

International Development Secretary, Priti Patel MP, and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Sajid Javid, were also in attendance.
